Born in Madrid (Spain) in 1971, to a Catalan family. Raised in that city, attended the British Council School. Moved to Barcelona (Catalonia) in 1989 to study at ESADE Business School, graduating in 1994. In 1997, received a scholarship from "la Caixa" to study a Master's in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School, graduating in 2000. From 2000-2004, Head of Institutional Relations for the Ministry for Universities, Research and the Information Society of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia. From 2004-2006, Director of Human Resources at the Consortium for the Catalan Language. From 2007-2008 Director of Communications for the EuroScience Open Forum. Currently teaching a course on economics, globalization and identity at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, member of the International Relations Commission of Fundació CatDem and member of Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya. An advocate of Catalan independence, have been involved in social initiatives in Barcelona and at Harvard. Published books and articles on the foreign affairs policy of Catalonia ("Donar protagonisme a Catalunya").
